No one, no thing, no experience, can take or change something that you are (your energy, your Qi, your power, your spirit), unless you give it to them.
I remember my mom telling me about enduring horrific abuse as a child, and she told herself over and over again they can beat my body but they can NEVER take my mind. She raised her children to believe in the power of the mind and that no one can take your power away unless you give it away.
To put things into perspective from our animals, I connected with a dog today who spoke on this very thing within his world. He came from a situation that was horrible by all accounts: Neglect, starvation, abuse, think of the worst case scenario and he was in it… and do you know what he told his person?
“Please have compassion for her (the woman who had him before) this organization is all she has, she truly believes if she loses this she will lose everything. She cannot see the damage because her mind is somewhere else.”
Hate doesn’t turn into love, it just creates more of the same.
We love our animals so much because they will never choose to go there with us, no matter how bad it gets. They truly know that we are meant to love one another.
